Inteleca helps raise $100,000 during local Charity Golf Tournament

Atlanta, Georgia – May 31, 2017 – More than 100 golfers, sponsors and supporters attended the Second Annual Fore Hadley Golf Classic on May 22, 2017, in support of the Fore Hadley Foundation dedicated to raising awareness and generating funding for families and children affected by Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH).

The event took place at the Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, and grossed over $100,000 through sponsorships and participant fees. Monies raised during this event enable and support the medical research community and affected families by providing funds aiding both research and recovery.

“We’re proud to stand behind the Bush family and the Fore Hadley Foundation as they continue their work to support families affected by CDH by funding research of CDH within the medical community,” said Paul Hogg, Inteleca President and CEO.

Organizers estimate that Inteleca, along with other event sponsors and participants, will raise over $100,000 in proceeds from the 2017 Fore Hadley Golf Classic.

CDH is a rare birth defect that affects roughly 1 in every 2,500 live births per year worldwide, with an estimated 1,600 cases in the United States, and a current survival rate of only 50 percent. Ryan and Katie Bush founded the Fore Hadley Foundation after losing their daughter Hadley in July of 2015 to this devastating birth defect. Through the funding of medical research by their academic partners, Fore Hadley’s long-term goal is to one day bid CDH farewell forever; however, in the near-term they focus on fostering and growing a strong community to support those currently in need.

“We’re incredibly thankful for the support of sponsors like Inteleca, and today as we look back fondly on our memories of Hadley, we are even more determined to look forward to making a difference in the lives of others that CDH has touched or will touch,” stated Ryan Bush, Fore Hadley Foundation Co-Founder. “Through the generosity and vision of individuals and organizations like Inteleca, profound differences are being made for a community very much in need.”
